On October 24, Catholic Charities of Philadelphia, through its ministry Saint John’s Hospice, hosted the annual “Boot Up Philly” giveaway, providing more than 15,000 winter essentials, including boots, winter coats, cold-weather gear, clothing, meals, and snacks, to more than 1,300 Philadelphia neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty. The outreach effort brought together staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to help individuals and families prepare for the colder months while providing essential resources, nourishment, and support.
