Sister Joan Blair SSJ (formerly Sister Mary Theresa Blair), age 85, died May 19, 2023, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Mary (Flynn) Blair, she attended All Saints Grade School and Seton High School in Baltimore.

In September 1956 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1964.

Sister Joan ministered in the Dioceses of Baltimore, Camden, Harrisburg and Philadelphia.

The sister of Joseph E. Blair and Mary Kilner, she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, as well as members of her congregation, The Sisters of Saint Joseph.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 10:30 AM. at Saint Joseph Villa. Services will also be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website, www.stjosephvilla.org.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
