Joshua K. Bower has been named principal of Conwell-Egan Catholic High School (CEC), according to a August 4 announcement from the archdiocesan Office for Catholic Education. The appointment becomes effective August 7.
Bower assumes the role of school principal following the appointment of Mr. Matthew Fischer (Class of 2004) as President of CEC. Bower most recently served as Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs at CEC where he held that role since 2018.

Bower started his career in education with the School District of Philadelphia as the Health and Physical Education Teacher at Andrew Hamilton Elementary School. Following that, Mr. Bower served in a variety of roles at Thomas A. Edison High School including Health and Physical Education Teacher, Dean of Students, Athletic Director, Roster Chairperson, and coach for several athletic teams.
Bower holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Temple University and a Master of Arts Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
In addition, he attended the University of California San Diego’s Extension and Professional Development Institute where he received Continuing Education Credits.
