Sister Marie Rudegeair SSJ (formerly Sister Madeleine Sophie), age 86, died February 1, 2024, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter Leo and Marie Rudegeair, she attended St. Mary Grade School and Lebanon High School.

In September 1956she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1964.

Sister Anne ministered in the Dioceses of Camden and Philadelphia.

Sister of Leo and Edward Rudegeair and the late James Rudegeair, Doris Rudegeair Fortini and Elizabeth Rudegeair Janson, She is also survived by nieces, nephews, dear friends and members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.

Funeral Mass will be held on February 7, 2024 beginning at 10:30 am. Services will be live-streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, Pa 19031.
