The 68 student musicians of the 2024 All Catholic Concert Band, representing archdiocesan and private Catholic high schools in the five-county region, performed Feb. 3 at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills. Dr. Paul Head, Director of Choral Studies at the University of Delaware, was the guest conductor of the concert, hosted by Thomas Kuchler, Director of Performing Arts for Conwell-Egan Catholic. Katherine Chmelko, Director of Performing Arts for Nazareth Academy High School in Northeast Philadelphia, served as the Festival Coordinator.
The students performed pieces selected from Sigh No More Ladies, arranged by Rene Clausen; Laudate Dominum, arranged by W.A. Mozart; TaReKiTa arranged by Reena Esmail; The May Night arranged by Johannes Brahms; Let Me Listen arranged by Dan Forrest; and Soon I Will Be Done arranged by Marques L.A. Garrett.
