The Philadelphia parish observed its 95th year as a parish on April 7 with a special closing Mass celebrated by Archbishop Nelson Pérez who was joined by clergy and faithful of the parish. The parish was founded on April 11, 1928, at the direction of Cardinal Dennis Dougherty with the purchase of a tract of farmland. Following Mass, the archbishop presided over the opening and blessing of the parish’s new Memorial Brick Garden.
