Sister James Agnes Campbell SSJ, age 88, died on January 16, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late James and Agnes (nee Deal) Campbell, she attended St. Edmond Grade School and West Catholic High School.

In September 1955 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1963.

Sister James Agnes ministered in the dioceses of Camden, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Wilmington.

She is preceded in death by her sister Agnes Salome and her brother John Campbell. She is survived by her brothers Patrick, Peter, James, Michael, and William, nieces, nephews, friends, and the members of her Congregation, The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.

Visitation by relatives and friends will begin at 9:30 am on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be live-streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
