Sister Margaret “Peg” Garvin SSJ, (formerly Sister Ann Dorothea), age 76, died on January 20, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (nee Farquehar) Garvin, she attended Saint Anne Grade School and John W. Hallahan High School.

In September 1966 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1974.

Sister Margaret ministered in the dioceses of Camden, Philadelphia and Trenton.

She is preceded in death by her brother Paul Garvin. She is survived by her brother Michael and her nephew Paul, loving nieces, nephews, their extended families, and the members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.

Visitation by relatives and friends will begin at 9:30 am on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. A Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be livestreamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
