S. Barbara T. Kotzman, SSJ
S. Barbara T. Kotzman SSJ, (formerly S. Rosella,) age 92, died on March 24, 2025, at St. Joseph Villa.
The daughter of the late Frantz and Mary (nee Werner) Kotzman she attended St. Rose of Lima Grade School and York Catholic High School.
In September 1952 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1960.
Sister Barbara ministered in the dioceses of Allentown, Baltimore, Harrisburg, Newark, Philadelphia and Wilmington.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Ann, Effie, Sr. Rose Veronica SSJ, Veronica, Rose, Teresa Rose, brothers Francis, George and Joseph. She is survived by a niece, nephew, grand nieces, grand nephews, and members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Philadelphia.
Visitation by relatives and friends will begin at 9:30 AM on Monday, April 28th at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. A Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be live-streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave, Flourtown, Pa 19031.
