The local CRS Philadelphia Advocacy Chapter is sponsoring an opportunity to celebrate all mothers and help Catholic Relief Services continue its life-giving work.

This Mother’s Day, May 10, CRS again celebrates mothers around the globe by hosting a special fundraiser, Celebrating Mothers, honoring the strength and resilience of women worldwide. As you celebrate and thank the mothers in your life – mothers, daughters, daughters-in-law, friends, aunts, sisters, and cousins – you are also invited to donate to Catholic Relief Services in their name.

Now more than ever, Catholic Relief Services needs everyone to help sustain their life-giving work around the world. As a result of drastic cuts in poverty-focused assistance programs and the dismantling of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), thousands of people are suffering, and many will die without access to food, water, and life-saving medicine.

These programs do more than save lives. They help lift communities and countries out of poverty. They also support in-country faith-based and Church partners that provide services and stability to their communities and to their countries. This is a local campaign, but its impact is global.

At a time when we celebrate mothers in our own lives, it’s a meaningful opportunity to recognize and support mothers everywhere who work each day to provide stability, nourishment, and hope for their children.

To support this fundraising effort to turn compassion into care for mothers and families around the world, please make your donation here: https://crs.donordrive.com/campaigns/Celebrating-Mothers.
