Sister Alma Rose Schlosser, SSJ
Sister Alma Rose Schlosser SSJ, (formerly S. Francis William,) age 83, died on April 23, 2026, at Saint Joseph Villa.
The daughter of the late Francis and Alma (nee Uslin) Schlosser, she attended St. Bernard Grade School and St. Hubert High School.
In September 1960 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1968.
Sister Alma ministered in the dioceses of Allentown, Camden, Charlotte NC, Harrisburg and Philadelphia.
She is survived by brothers Bill and Frank Schlosser, her sister Beth Schlosser (eff Niessen), two nephews and one niece, and members of her Congregation the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.
Friends are invited to Saint Joseph Villa beginning at 9:30 AM on Thursday, April 30, 2026. A Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be livestreamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
