The appointment was announced May 21 by Jay DeFruscio, chief operating officer of secondary schools for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Gallagher succeeds Vincent Cazzetta, who is retiring at the conclusion of the current academic year after six years as president and more than 40 years in education.
Gallagher previously served as executive director of advancement and engagement at Pope John Paul II during the 2018-19 academic year. She currently serves as executive director of leadership and principal gifts for Independence Mission Schools.
According to the announcement, Gallagher brings decades of experience in advancement, development, alumni programming, strategic planning and school administration collaboration in Catholic and independent schools.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a certificate in fundraising principles from Villanova University.
Cazzetta will continue to provide professional support to Gallagher and the school administration through July to assist with the leadership transition.
