Sister Patricia Ann Ash, SSJ
Sister Patricia Ann Ash SSJ, (formerly Sister Saint Lawrence,) age 83, died on May 22, 2026, at Saint Joseph Villa.
The daughter of the late Lawrence and Marguerite (nee Reilly) Ash, she attended St. Patrick Grade School and Nativity B.V.M. High School in Pottsville, Pa.
In September 1960 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1968.
Sister Mary ministered in the dioceses of Allentown, Baltimore, Camden, Newark, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Marguerite Ash. She is survived by her sister Marian Ash, nephew Joseph Lesher (Lindsey), cousins, dear friends and members of her Congregation the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.
Friends are invited to Saint Joseph Villa on Friday, June 5, 2026, beginning at 9:30 AM. A Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
