St. Bridget Parish hosts talk on life of parishioner Grace Kelly
St. Bridget Parish in the East Falls section of Philadelphia hosted a talk by Louise Feder of the Michener Museum in Doylestown on Grace Kelly Nov. 3 at the church. Kelly and her siblings were all baptized in St. Bridget Church, and her family was an integral part of the parish’s history. Some current parishioners remember her as a child sitting in the pews of the church.

For about an hour last Saturday evening, during Pope Francis’ meeting with families in St. Peter’s Square, a little boy took over as prefect of the papal household: he helped bring guests up to the pope, he tried to take presents off the pope’s hands, he adjusted the pope’s microphone. Ancillae-Assumpta wins grant to study local historic sites
Representatives from ING's Unsung Heroes Award program presented administrators from Ancillae-Assumpta Academy in Wyncote with a $2,000 grant for its winning program aimed to help students make a connection between the area where the students go to school and the history they study. The Montgomery County school was one of three winners in Pennsylvania.
