MERION – Waldron Mercy Academy students participated in the school’s annual Mercy Walkathon to benefit WMA’s outreach efforts and Mercy Housing and Development, a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy in Gulfport, Miss., that helps those affected by the BP oil spill and Hurricane Katrina.
WMA students from the early childhood class to eighth grade walked around the school building as many times as they could in 30 minutes. Overall the walkathon raised an estimated $5,300.
