The costumed “saints” processed into church for a prayer service that included a reading and a short litany prayer to the saints. Following the prayer service which was attended by the second-graders and their prayer partners, parents and grandparents, the children paraded around the church and through the school halls singing “When the Saints Go Marching In”.
