The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced July 9 that Andrea Hall (née Mueller) has been appointed director of its Office for Ministry with Young Adults, effective immediately.
Hall previously served as associate director of the office for the past two and a half years under the leadership of Father Timothy Tarnacki, OSPPE. Tarnacki recently received a new pastoral assignment from the Pauline Fathers and will soon serve as a pastor in Florida.
During her tenure with the office, Hall helped expand The Well: Young Adult Conference, which draws more than 500 young adults annually from across the Philadelphia region, and supported initiatives including the Young Adult Missionary Discipleship Initiative formation program.
Hall also serves with the Philadelphia chapter of Young Catholic Professionals as director of fellowship and service and director of evangelization. Prior to her work in young adult ministry, she was a resident service leader with Blessed Sarnelli Community, which ministers to the poor in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood.
A graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, Hall earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and was active in campus ministry.
As director, Hall will lead the Office for Ministry with Young Adults, which is part of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Faith Formation for Youth and Young Adults. Established by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez in July 2020, the office seeks to engage and accompany young adults as missionary disciples of Jesus Christ in the world around them.
