St. Anselm Parish in Northeast Philadelphia will host the inaugural “19154 5K Race” beginning and ending at the church on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The kids’ fun run begins at 9 a.m., 5K race at 9:15 and a one-mile walk also at 9:15.
The course will take runners through the Parkwood Manor neighborhood and Torrey Woods. Runners, walkers, young and elderly, individuals and terams are all welcome to participate.
All proceeds benefit the Youth and Young Adult Ministries of St. Anselm.
T-shirts for the race will be available, as will awards for the top three finishers in various categories, including school alumni. Parking for the race is available behind St. Anselm School.
Advance registration before Jan. 30 is $25 for individuals, $20 for team members (minimum of four). Children 12 and under are free. Race day registration cost is $30, beginning at 8 a.m. in the gym.
