CARES Support GroupTuesday, Oct. 8, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Holy Redeemer’s CARES (Cancer Resources, Education and Support) is open to all cancer patients at any stage of illness, and for their caregivers and/or significant others. Organized by the hospital’s Bott Cancer Center, this program includes an educational session followed by a facilitator-led, break-out support group session.

Bereavement Support Group

This support group is for any adult grieving the loss of a family member or friend. Both educational and emotional support is offered.

AARP Driver Safety Refresher Course
Tuesday, Oct. 15, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Holy Redeemer Lafayette, Community Room, 8580 Verree Road, Philadelphia
Wednesday, Oct. 16, 6 to 10 p.m., The Villages at Pine Valley Clubhouse, 8540 Verree Road, Philadelphia
This state-approved course helps drivers 50 years of age or older improve their skills and prevent traffic accidents. Automobile insurance companies conducting business in Pennsylvania may provide a premium discount to graduates. A copy of your driver’s license and completion certificate from a previous two-day class is required to participate in this refresher class.
Cost: $12 for members with an AARP card, $14 for nonmembers
Unite, Inc. Support Group

This group provides grief support following the loss of a baby, including miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth and infant death. To register, call Denise Paul at 215-643-3344.
