Father James DeGrassa, parochial vicar at Our Lady of Grace Parish in Penndel, led the second annual nighttime cemetery walk for Bucks County youths Oct. 24. Over a hundred high-school-aged teens along with family members and local priests from the Bucks County area braved the cold weather to attend this popular event at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Each teen was given a candle or lantern to walk the sacred grounds of the cemetery. Father DeGrassa stopped at 10 stations throughout the walk to present a Catholic understanding on topics that included Halloween, ghosts, angels, death, heaven, hell and purgatory. The cemetery walk ended with a prayer service dedicated to all the teens’ loved ones who have died. After the walk the teens enjoyed music and snacks under a giant tent. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
