I have not contributed to any appeal by the Archdiocese since news of priest abuse surfaced. After today, I will instruct my pastor not to send any of my parish contributions to the Archdiocese. I am appalled the Archdiocese posted bail for Monsignor Lynn. We had a pedophile priest hidden in our parish. He was later defrocked; but not before he had countless little boys and girls on his lap at Mass. I will remain a Catholic and attend Mass but, I will not support any project by the Archdiocese for fear that my contributions would be used for the defense of pedophile priests or future bail money. Even though the Cardinal is taking steps to improve the Church, he action this week is appalling. Let Monsignor Lynn’s family provide bail.
