The Office Depot Foundation is donating approximately 400 “sackpacks” to archdiocesan elementary school students before the new school year begins.
Students from Our Lady of Port Richmond Regional Catholic School, St. Athanasius School, St. Charles Borromeo School and Holy Innocents Area Catholic Elementary School, all in Philadelphia, received packs containing essential school supplies on Monday, Aug. 25 at the Office Depot store in Plymouth Meeting.
Archdiocesan Director of Elementary Educational Services Judy Sweeney and approximately 20 student representatives received their packs at the event.
The 2014-2015 academic year begins on Wednesday, Sept. 3 for students who attend the 122 elementary schools, 17 high schools and four schools of special education of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
