Archbishop Chaput has gone to the movies and offers the website CruxNow.com his take on “Calvary,” about the clergy sexual abuse scandal in Ireland.

One truth at the heart of the film is that the sins of the past bear bitter fruit in the present, in pain, anger and revenge. Hypocrisy never stays hidden forever. But the opposite is also true: Love also leaves its indelible mark on the world.
