In the spirit of the Abbey Faith & Music Fest initiated last fall, St. Norbert Parish and Daylesford Abbey will be starting AbbeyFest Praise Nights. The first night will be held this Friday, Feb. 6 from 7:30-9 p.m. at Daylesford Abbey in Paoli.
“We had such a strong and enthusiastic response at our first AbbeyFest that we decided to begin AbbeyFest Praise Nights with worship music and Eucharistic Adoration,” said AbbeyFest Director Mark Griswold. “Our first night will be led by Firehill, the St. Norbert Festival of Praise Band.”
Griswold anticipates that the AbbeyFest Praise Nights will be offered several times in the coming year and feature different Catholic Christian artists.
“The Holy Spirit touched and energized those attending AbbeyFest,” he said. “We want to keep that fire burning and cast a wider new evangelization net to draw people to experience Jesus’ love for us and enable more personal encounters through praise, worship, Eucharistic Adoration and music.”
Griswold also announced the second annual Abbey Faith & Music Fest will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, immediately prior to the World Meeting of Families.
“Matt Maher is definitely coming back for another year and we have an exciting lineup of Christian artists on fire for the Lord which we hope to announce shortly,” Griswold said.
