Members of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Limerick celebrated the 100th birthday of the oldest member of the parish, Josie Drop, during the Saturday evening vigil Mass April 2 in the church.
She was honored with a birthday cake and the congregation, led by Father Paul Brandt, pastor of the parish, sang “Happy Birthday” to Josie and acknowledged her with resounding applause.
She also received handmade birthday cards from the students of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School. Parishioners were invited to enjoy a piece of cake after the Mass.
