Dr. Lester “Les” Ruppersberger

Dr. Lester “Les” Ruppersberger, a parishioner of St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish in Yardley, has received the 2026 Edward A. Keefe Award from Couple to Couple League International.

The award recognizes contributions to the advancement of Natural Family Planning through research, clinical practice, education, and leadership.

A retired OBGYN in the Philadelphia region, Ruppersberger practiced as a Natural Family Planning-only physician and served as president of both the national Catholic Medical Association (CMA) and Philadelphia’s St. John Neumann Guild of CMA.

He and his wife, Betty, have taught Natural Family Planning for nearly 20 years in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and helped expand local fertility education efforts.

The honor comes as Couple to Couple League celebrates its 55th anniversary and recognizes Ruppersberger’s decades of service to Catholic health care, marriage and family life.
