Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez has appointed Andrea Bell as director of the Office for Parish Service and Support for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, effective Nov. 9, 2026.
Announcing the appointment, Father Eric J. Banecker, vicar general and moderator of the curia, said Bell’s nearly 35 years of service to the archdiocese and extensive experience in parish financial operations make her well suited to lead the office in supporting parishes and other archdiocesan entities.
Bell has served as assistant director of the Office for Parish Service and Support since 2023 and previously worked as senior parish service specialist from 2012 to 2023. She began her archdiocesan career in 1992 as an internal staff auditor in the Office for Audit Services.
As director, Bell will oversee the office’s work with parish staff and financial representatives, including guidance on budgeting, accounting, reporting, and compliance with archdiocesan policies, procedures, and best practices.
Bell holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Holy Family University, a Certification in Church Management from Villanova University, and multiple professional development certificates in leadership and management through the National Seminar/STAR 12 Program.
