The community festival continues daily through Saturday, Aug. 27 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Swamp Pike and Neiffer Road in Limerick, Montgomery County.
The eighth annual festival, which is expected to draw 10,000 people over four days, features amusement rides by Tons of Fun, bungee jump and rock wall by Bruster’s of Limerick, live music, children’s games, adult games of chance, pony rides, balloon art, bingo, bake table, cash and prize raffles (grand prize $5,000), Beer and Wine Garden, and Business Expo.
A full menu of delicious homemade Italian, Polish and American foods is available nightly, plus Capt’n Chucky’s seafood.
The festival’s live music schedule includes (along with DJ Rich Sheldon):
— Thursday, Aug. 25: What’s Next (classic rock band) and Matt Spitko (country, blues and folk)
— Friday, Aug. 26: John Seitz, Sean Royle Smith and Mr. Mike (acoustic rock) and Anakai Ney (soulful jazz)
— Saturday, Aug. 27: Dibbs Preston & the Detonators (rockabilly/swing band) and Dan O’Brien (acoustic rock)
Two specialty bingo games will be held at the festival: Designer Bag Bingo on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. and Gift Card Bingo on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. (indoor events, rain or shine, doors open at 6 p.m.). Bingo admission price is $25 per person for 20 games, plus one bonus game for advance ticket holders.
