Lisa Thomas-Laury leads a conversation on opioid drug abuse on Wednesday, May 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the cafeteria of St. Bede Church, Holland.

A reporter and anchor for 6ABC News, Thomas-Laury has been seen in people’s homes throughout the region for over 35 years, and many consider her a trusted friend. Willing to put her face and reputation to the crisis of opioid addiction, she knows about this first hand.

As an investigative reporter whose husband is a doctor, Thomas-Laury knows well the saying, “If it can happen to me, it can happen to everyone.”

The opioid crisis is entering all our lives, direct or indirectly. Come and meet Lisa, hear her story and the resources gathered that may be able to help someone you love. The first 100 attendees will receive a free autographed copy of her book.

Those wishing to reserve a resource table at the event should contact Kris Ingle, RN, Parish Outreach Coordinator, at parishnurse@st-bede.org or 215-357-4113.
