Event Description

Add praying the Rosary to your plans this Extraordinary Month of Mission!

Have you ever seen a 50-foot, larger-than-life World Mission Rosary?

The Rosary will be on display at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in the Cathedral Basilica. Visit it daily and weekends, whenever the Cathedral is open. All are invited throughout October, the International Extraordinary Month of Mission, proclaimed by Pope Francis, to come and pray before the Rosary.

Pray and write your intentions on ribbons symbolizing Mission areas.

They will be tied to the Rosary and the intentions will be prayed for by Missionaries. Also on display is the Archdiocesan Mission Cross, a symbol of unity and faith that, in 2000, visited every parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Come, venerate it, as its center has a sacred Relic of the “One True Cross.”

Every day during the Extraordinary Month of Mission, the World Mission Rosary will be prayed weekdays after the 12:05 PM Mass at the Cathedral Basilica SS. Peter & Paul in Philadelphia.
