Sister Beatrice Mary Keegan, S.S.J. (formerly Sister Joseph Beatrice), age 89, died Dec. 12 at St. Joseph Villa in Flourtown.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Frances Keegan, she attended St. Francis of Assisi Grade School and Little Flower High School in Philadelphia.

In September 1947 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1955.

Sister Beatrice ministered in the archdioceses of Philadelphia and Newark, and the Diocese of Trenton.

The sister of Maryann Keegan, Bart Keegan and the late John J., David A. and Catherine K. Keegan, she is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews and members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.

The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 18 at St. Joseph Villa.
