Sister Virginia Ann Talbot, S.S.J. (formerly Marie Eugenie Talbot), age 88, died Sept. 8 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown.
The daughter of the late James and Eugenia Talbot, she attended St. Catherine of Siena Grade School in Allentown, Pa. and Amherst Central High School in Buffalo, N.Y.
In September 1952 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1960.
Sister Virginia ministered in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the dioceses of Allentown and Trenton.
She is the sister of the late Jeanne Lombard. She is survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Services and interment were private.
Donations may be made in Sister Virginia’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031-1898.
