Sister Mary Jane Daily, S.S.J. (formerly Sister Michael Lawrence), age 84, died Dec. 30, 2020 at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Philadelphia.
The daughter of the late Michael and Alberta Daily, she attended St. Bridget Grade School in Philadelphia and St. John the Baptist High School in the city’s Manayunk section.
In September 1954 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill and professed her final vows in 1962.
Sister Mary Jane ministered in the Dioceses of Allentown and Camden, and the Archdioceses of Newark, Philadelphia and Washington.
She is survived by James Andrew, Michael Daily, Jerome Daily, Kathleen Ferris, Jean Bryson, Adrianne Daily and preceded in death by the late Eleanor Atkinson, Suzanne Oakes and Mark Daily.
She is also survived by members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Funeral services were held Jan. 5 at St. Joseph Villa in Flourtown and livestreamed at the website www.stjosephvilla.org.
