Sister Mary C. Heenan, S.S.J. (formerly Sister Joseph Constance), age 79, died July 27 at St. Joseph Villa in Flourtown.

The daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine Heenan, she attended Holy Spirit Grade School and Holy Spirit High School in Atlantic City, N.J.

In September 1960 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1968.
Sister Mary ministered in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Diocese of Trenton.

The sister of Maureen Danieli, Arthur Heenan and John Heenan, she is also survived by nieces, nephews and members of her congregation.

Funeral services will be livestreamed from the St. Joseph Villa website at www.stjosephvilla.org on Aug. 5 at 10:30 a.m.
