Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS) hosted its 67th annual Archbishop’s Benefit for Children Christmas Party on Wednesday, Dec. 21 for nearly 500 children and youth. These children represent thousands of young people across the Greater Philadelphia region who benefit annually from community-based and residential programs offered by CSS. The Riley Family Foundation, a CSS benefactor, sponsored the 2022 Christmas party.
Children enjoyed a festive afternoon alongside Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez filled with a live Nativity scene, student performances from Saint Cecilia School, sing-a-longs, snacks, and a visit from Santa who distributed gifts to all in attendance. A choral group from CSS’ Saint John’s Hospice and Mercy Hospice also performed holiday favorites. This year’s theme was “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” (Photos by Sarah Webb)
