Sister Saint Rose Dwyer, SSJ, age 98, died May 17, 2023, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late Walter F. and Anna (nee Kane) Dwyer, she attended Simon-Muir Public Grade School, St. Francis of Assisi Grade School and Little Flower High School.

In September 1943 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1951.
Sister Saint Rose ministered in the Dioceses of Camden, Newark, Philadelphia and Scranton.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Walter, John, and James Dwyer. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 10:30 AM. at St. Joseph Villa. Services will also be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website, www.stjosephvilla.org.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
