Beth Alfonsi has been named Chief of Staff for Independence Mission Schools (IMS) according to a September 27 announcement from IMS.
In this role, Alfonsi will play a critical part in serving and supporting the 14 schools in the IMS network while managing the Operations, Finance and Accounting, and Human Resource functions of the organization.

D’Angelo, President and CEO of IMS. “Her passion for helping students, knowledge of the current education landscape, and mission-driven attitude make her a vital asset. We are confident that under her guidance, the IMS community will continue to grow and be a resource for many children and their families.”
IMS is a nonprofit network of 14 independent Catholic schools serving 4,000 students in grades Pre-K to 8 from families in and near Philadelphia. The nonprofit offers families of all faiths and income levels the opportunity for their children to learn in a nurturing environment and grow in a culture of love, setting them on the path to a promising future.

Alfonsi brings seasoned education executive experience to her new role. She most recently served as the Executive Director of Advancement at Malvern Preparatory School in Chester County where she successfully generated 85% of the school’s $20 million budget annually. She also restructured and rebuilt the Development, Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Communications departments to enhance their overall effectiveness.
In addition, Alfonsi holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations from Temple University and a Master of Science Degree in Strategic Leadership from Neumann University.
