Reverend Terence P. Weik, Parochial Vicar with senior priest status, Saint Jude Parish, Chalfont, and Pastor Emeritus, Visitation B.V.M. Norristown, died on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Father Weik was born on September 25, 1953, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the son of the late Charles E. Weik and the late Rita M. McHugh. Father Weik attended Saint Mark Parochial School, Bristol, and Bishop Egan High School, Fairless Hills, before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.
Father Weik was ordained on May 17, 1980, at The Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul, Philadelphia, by His Eminence John Cardinal Krol. Father Weik served as Parochial
Vicar, Saint Robert Parish, Chester; Saint Andrew Parish, Drexel Hill; and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Doylestown. In June 1988 he was released from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to serve with the Marianist Fathers until returning in January 2013. In June 2016 he was appointed Pastor, Visitation B.V.M. Parish, Norristown, and named Pastor Emeritus there in 2020. He also served as Parochial Vicar with senior priest status, at Maternity BVM Parish, Philadelphia, and Saint Jude Parish, Chalfont.
The Reception of the Body will be held at Saint Mark Church, Bristol, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 5:30 PM, followed by a viewing from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Most Reverend
Nelson J. Pérez will celebrate the Funeral Mass for Father Weik at Saint Mark Church, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held beginning at 9:00 AM.
Concelebrating the Funeral Mass will be Reverend Monsignor James D. Beisel, Reverend Monsignor Paul V. Dougherty, Reverend Andrew O. Labatorio and Most Reverend Michael J. Fitzgerald will be the homilist.
Father Weik is survived by his sisters Barbara (Jim) Moore, Susan (Dan) Bartle and Marianne (Tom) Horton, and several nieces and nephews.. Interment will be at Our Lady of
Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
