Sister Mary Patricia Watson, SSJ
Sister Mary Patricia Watson SSJ (formerly Sister Miriam Patricia), age 95, died April 18, 2024, at Saint Joseph Villa.
The daughter of the late Martin and Mary Ann (Meehan) Watson, she attended St. Leo Grade School and St. Hubert High School.
In September 1945 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1953.
Sister Mary Patricia ministered in the Dioceses of Camden, Charlotte, Newark and Philadelphia.
Sister of the late Josephine Kernan and Kathleen Duckworth, she is survived by her brother, Martin Watson, his wife Jeanette, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and members of her congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23. Services will be live streamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
