Gerald DeFruscio, Chief Operating Officer for Secondary Schools and Schools of Special Education in the archdiocesan Office of Catholic Education announced June 27 over 3,000 students named to the 2023-2024 archdiocesan scholar-athlete honor roll.
The recognition highlights individuals who earned first or second academic honors while competing in their respective sport during the fall, winter, and spring sports seasons.
“AOP programs enjoyed tremendous success this year including eight PIAA State Championship teams and countless individual award winners,” said DeFruscio.
“But to have this volume of student-athletes excel in the classroom is a great testament to their commitment to achieving excellence and the student-athlete experience at our high schools.”
