A one-day Advent retreat on “Now We Dare to Hope: The Promise and Gift of Every Advent” will be held Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul, Philadelphia.
The retreat will be led by Rev. G. Dennis Gill, Rector of the Cathedral and Director of the Office for Divine Worship.
After a welcome and refreshments at 9 a.m., Father Gill will speak at a 10 a.m. conference. Quiet time in the cathedral and the sacrament of penance will follow. Mass is at 12:05 p.m. in the cathedral chapel and lunch will follow.
Father Gill will offer another conference at 1:45 p.m., exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is at 2:30 p.m. followed by benediction, and the retreat concludes at 3:30 p.m..
