The Day of Prayer for the Health and Wellness of Clergy and Men and Women Religious will take place Friday, Oct. 18 via livestream.

Saint John Vianney Center (SJVC) will host its second “Day of Prayer for the Health and Wellness of Clergy and Men and Women Religious” Friday, Oct. 18 starting at 9:00 a.m.

This special day of prayer offers spiritual support to clergy and men and women religious while also serving as a reminder of the significance of self-care, healing, maintaining a strong spiritual foundation, and promoting a supportive environment for men and women who serve us through their vocations.

Live streaming of events will begin at 9:00 a.m. with morning prayer and Adoration followed by a keynote, “Nourishing Our Ministers with Compassion and Gratitude” by SJVC President and CEO David Shellenberger, RN, BSN. A prayer hour hosted by SJVC’s Spiritual Care team will follow.

Chaplain Fr. David Brzoska will celebrate Mass for the health and wellness of all clergy and men and women religious at 11:00 a.m.

This year, SJVC will offer the opportunity to honor a member of the clergy or religious by purchasing a Mass Intention card. The honored priests and religious will receive a Mass Intention card and their names will be placed at the Altar during the Day of Prayer Mass. Information on purchasing a Mass Intention card is available at www.sjvcenter.org/dayofprayer.

SJVC invites individuals, Catholic nonprofits, Catholic schools and parishes, dioceses, and religious communities to join in this Day of Prayer, either by participating in the live-streamed Mass or by incorporating prayers and intentions for the health and wellness of Clergy and Men and Women Religious into their weekday Masses, and devotions.
