The Office for Black Catholics will hold a Mass of celebration for St. Martin de Porres on his feast day, Nov. 3, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
The Mass will honor St. Martin de Porres, a humble servant and the patron saint of social justice.
Additionally, confirmation will be celebrated with candidates from St. Athanasius, St. Cyprian, St. Ignatius of Loyola, St. Raymond of Penafort, and St. Vincent DePaul.
All are welcome.
The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul is located at 18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.
