An archdiocesan priest and the author of a recent book about angels will appear on an upcoming show on the EWTN network.

Msgr. Brian Bransfield, pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Aston, Delaware County, will discuss his book Angels: Our Guardians in Spiritual Battle on the show “Women of Grace” in December.

The first part of the interview is scheduled to air Wednesday, December 4 at 1:00 p.m. and again at 11:00 p.m. Part two will air Thursday, Dec. 5 at the same times.

Published by Our Sunday Visitor, the 187-page book explores angels as they are found in Scripture, the writings of the Church Fathers, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the lives of the saints, and the works of key theologians.

The book also considers the role of the fallen angels, who attack humans through temptation and sin.

Msgr. Bransfield is a moral theologian, speaker, and author of six books. He served as general secretary of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops from 2016 to 2021. He was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in 1994. He is currently pastor of St. Joseph Parish and parochial administrator at St. Francis de Sales Parish in Lenni.

“Women of Grace,” hosted by Johnnette Williams, discusses contemporary issues from a Catholic perspective. Episodes of the show may be found here:
