Sister Marie Patricia Cella, SSJ
Sister Marie Patricia Cella SSJ, (formerly S. Marian Auxilia), age 90, died on November 22, 2024, at Saint Joseph Villa.
The daughter of the late John and Mary (nee McKeone) Cella, she attended Holy Child Grade School and Little Flower High School.
In September 1953 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1961.
Sister Marie ministered in the dioceses of Allentown, Baltimore, Camden, Charlotte, NC, Harrisburg, Philadelphia and St. Petersburg, FL.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Matthew, and John Cella. She is survived by her brothers Deacon William and James, her sisters in law, many nephews, nieces, and their extended families, and members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
Visitation by relatives and friends will begin at 9:30 am on Wednesday, November 27th at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be livestreamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister’s name to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave, Flourtown, Pa 19031.
