Faithful from throughout the archdiocese are invited to a special opportunity to receive the sacrament of penance and reconciliation during Lent at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

The opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation will take place from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. April 2. Confessions will be offered in English and Spanish.

Lent is the 40-day period in which Christians are called to an inner journey of conversion of heart through prayer, fasting, and charitable works. This special opportunity underscores the importance of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation in our lives, especially during Lent, a time for spiritual renewal.

Additional confession times at the Cathedral Basilica include 11:30 a.m. Monday – Friday, 4:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays in the Basilica, and at 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday’s in the Basilica. The Cathedral Basilica is also a Sacred Jubilee Site for obtaining the gift of the Jubilee Indulgence.

If it has been some time since your last confession, you can return to the sacrament with confidence using this guide from the archdiocesan Office for Divine Worship.
