Catholic Charities of Philadelphia assisted more than 205,000 people across the region in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, according to its newly released annual report, which also highlights an increase in charitable giving reflected on the organization’s financials page.
Contributions and bequests rose 32% year over year, increasing from 16.3% to 20.3% of total revenue, reflecting stronger donor support that helped sustain and expand services amid continued high demand.
About 166,000 experiencing food insecurity and homelessness received assistance, along with 36,000 children and families, 2,500 older adults, and 327 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Catholic Charities reported distributing more than 8.1 million meals through its Community Food Program and federally funded child nutrition initiatives. The organization also produced more than 20,000 pounds of fresh food for clients.
Heather Huot, secretary and executive vice president, credited donors and supporters for strengthening the agency’s ability to respond to growing needs.
“We remain committed to walking alongside our neighbors—especially those facing hardship—with the compassion and dignity rooted in our faith,” Huot said.
The report highlights how increased giving has bolstered Catholic Charities’ core ministries, including hunger relief, housing support, family services, and care for vulnerable populations throughout the Philadelphia area.
