Epiphany of Our Lord Church in South Philadelphia will host its third annual Father McGivney Feast Day Vigil Mass on Aug. 15, honoring Blessed Michael J. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus.
The event will take place from 4:30-6 p.m. in the church’s lower shrine, where a new space dedicated to Father McGivney’s legacy and the history of the Knights of Columbus will be unveiled.
Father Casey, chaplain of the local Knights of Columbus council, will celebrate the Mass and bless a newly commissioned image of Father McGivney that will be displayed in the shrine. The program will also include a wreath-laying ceremony in remembrance of deceased Knights of Columbus members.
The evening will begin with the Rosary at 4:30 p.m., followed by Mass at 5 p.m. Parking will be available on the church grounds.
