Sister Imelda Catherine McGrail, O.S.F.
Sister Imelda Catherine McGrail, O.S.F., died on Oct. 21, 2008. She was 87. She was born in Ellengowan, Pa., and later graduated from Edgewood Park College in New York. After college, she worked as a teacher’s aide and also worked with the elderly. She served in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the dioceses of Allentown and Trenton. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading. She later moved to the Assisi House in Aston, where she served in prayer ministry until her death. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Oct. 24. Burial followed at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Aston. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Betty, her niece, Peggy, a nephew, Francis, and her Franciscan family.
