Sister Judith Angela Pavese, I.H.M.
Sister Judith Angela Pavese, formerly Sister Maria Corita, I.H.M., died on Sept. 19, 2008 in Camilla Hall, Immaculata. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Anthony and Mary Humpf. She entered the congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1962 and professed her first vows in 1965. For seven years she taught in the Allentown Diocese and served as pastoral associate and liturgist at St. Theresa in Hellertown. She also taught in elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. For the past three years she spent in Camilla Hall, her primary ministry was prayer. She is predeceased by her brother, James. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Sept. 22, 2008. She is survived by her brothers; Anthony, Thomas and Rocco; by several nieces, nephews, grandnephews, a grandniece and also members of her religious community.
